While I'm not down as much as I hoped this week (.9 lbs) I am super excited to say that today I hit the 10 lbs in weight loss mark and WON 2 months FREE !!!!!! I can't stress enough how much I am loving Weight Watchers, our leader and all the members in our group! The BIGGEST thing I am LOVING is all the food I LOVE to eat, I am STILL eating! Yes, I could be down a LOT more quicker if I cut out all the eating out we do and all the "treats" I still like to add into my points as well as switching more things to "fat free", but if I am going to make this a LIFESTYLE change this time, I have to do it slow and steady and how I plan to continue living for the rest of my life, not just while I am losing weight or I wont stick to it. I know it will come off even better when I incorporate exercise, but to lose 10 lbs in a month all while being in Vegas and celebrating our Birthdays and Anniversary is a huge accomplishment for me! I LOVED the first month of WW and look forward to what the next month brings!
I think the BIGGEST things that are helping me this time is:
1. Keeping track of points - the days you don't they add up quick and turn into weight gained
2. The "Awareness" I now have of just how much each food items is costing me in points and health
3. The support through my Weight Watchers meeting, our leader and my private WW group.
Life is all about learning, growing and taking steps towards your dreams no matter how tiny the stepping stone is.
Here are some snacks we learned about through are Awesome leader today (The Pepperettes are mine they are only 3 Pts for two - turkey only)! Nancy ran into me shopping after the meeting and told me the yogurt is great mixed with salsa as a dip, so I used it on my wrap today - yummy!!! It would be good in place of cream cheese in the layered cheese nacho dips so many take to parties!
