True Friends are one of the most import things to have in life, they love you unconditionally, listen to your stories over and over, eat ice cream with you after break ups, tell you when you have food in your teeth, stick up for you when you need it, encourage you when you're down, give you belly laughs when your Soul needs to be lifted and you can go months without talking yet when you get together if feels like it's been days.
I have been VERY blessed over the years to have one special Best Friend since birth, who has shared many ups, downs, laughs, cries and interesting times and keeps me balanced in life. As well as many other friends along the journey. One of my friends Mom's gave us powerful words of advise a few years back, she said "ALWAYS make time for your friends as they are the ones who will be there for you when you need it most". This is SO true. Not only will they be there for you on a whim, but they bring out the inner child in you that so needs to be set free. As adults we spend so much time running around and doing the day to day things that we forget there is a piece inside of us that just wants to have fun and be free and live like we were when we were children.
A few of us get together at least once a year and allow our "inner child" to come out. No matter how stressed I was before I left for our getaway, I ALWAYS feel refreshed when I come home, which in turn makes me a better mom/wife (and my belly hurts SO BAD from all the laughing). Friends are therapy for the Soul, I HIGHLY recommend making time for your friends no matter how busy life gets, even if it's just going over to their house for movie night. Men will come, and men will go (vice versa for the men reading this), but TRUE FRIENDS will stay forever.
Thank you to each and every friend I've had on this journey whether it was for a reason, a season or a lifetime. You have each brought lessons, healing and growth into my life, and for that I will be forever thankful. May God/Universe bless each and every one of you with at least one friend to bless your life (and if you don't have one, try volunteering at a Seniors home or Hospice, there are plenty of people just waiting to chat and have companionship as they are lonely).
