After fasting for 12 hours, I started my day today with my first Body Comp, Blood/Urine Analysis, Weigh in, Blood pressure check and more. While I was nervous (mainly due to "weigh ins"), Yvonne at Affinity always seems to make you at ease, and today was no different. While my blood pressure was a little up (mention the word "weigh in" and you can see why it's up haha!), I was SHOCKED to see I am down 10 pds from when I weighed in at home last week....so shocked I had Yvonne do it again. I was not trying to lose weight this week (and not sure how I did due to my eating/stress) as my "goal for the week" was water intake and getting organized as well as tracking my food. But I will take it !!!!! Yvonne (as well as everyone at Affinity) is always a wealth of information and I always come out with so many things that I never knew before. It was a great experience to see my blood cells flowing around on the screen and having her explain them all to me. I am very excited to get all the results and to see just how my body is functioning. What a great opportunity this program is, I can't wait to see how I feel at the end of it! Tomorrow I have my first Nutrition Consult with Helen, and Friday my Naturopath Consult with Dr. Heather. I am getting more excited as the week progress's. I know from past experience that having a "support system" is crucial as not only do you have others to turn to, but you learn so much along the way that you may not have without them.
On another note, today my head feels like it is ready to burst. The last few years I have become a "human barometer", whenever there is a huge change in weather, my head will tell you (my son sometimes asks me now when he has a trip or something if I have a headache the night before just to see if something is coming). I don't know what has changed to create this, all I know is it's not pleasant (especially when you have a full day ahead of you). One way I find relief is to do one of my all time favourite things - be in WATER! I find when I take a nice hot Epsom Bath, add some Lavender oil (or what ever is calling my name that day), turning off the lights, lighting my Soulmate candles and playing my favourite meditation music, it usually helps to relieve it (even if only for an hour or 2). I may come out looking like a prune, but taking the time to relax and unwind in my own little space is therapy for my mind, body and soul. After my bath tonight I will bath in the energy of the full moon (my hubby does not like "full moons" anymore as he knows it usually means we will be sleeping with the curtains open so I can absorb the energy of the moon and release all that is no longer needed. (I think he is beginning to think I am a little crazy since starting my spiritual journey, but since when did I ever do anything normal!). I'm setting the intention with tonights full moon to "Release and Let Go" of all that no longer serves me.
Enjoy your night, and don't forget to take a moment in your own space from time to time, wherever that may be!
*** Don't forget if you have Crystals/Gems to set them out in the moon light as well. An intuitive friend posted a cool experiment a little bit ago, where she weighed her gemstones before the full moon and than weighed them after setting them out (you can also use rice or sunlight), and sure enough they weighed less after it (since all the "energies" released from it) - give it a try, you'll be impressed !
