Whenever I felt down, a walk in nature always seemed to uplift my moods, especially in the fall. There is something magical about the smell of fresh fallen leaves, the crisp air on your face and the sun shining through the branches on the trees that takes you away to a far of place and cleanses your mind/body/soul. Those that know me, know I am a photo nut and LOVE taking photos (another passion I have that is therapy to me). I love being in Nature (the forest, beach or lake) and capturing the beauty that surrounds me. The last few years my hubby and I have been doing one of my all time favourite things to do - Walking in nature AND being near waterfalls. We have stumbled across some pretty amazing ones over the years, and I look forward to finding many more treasures that are so close to home and don't cost much to see. I'm not gonna lie, in the summer I am not a huge fan of the outdoors as I am always HOT (and I get cranky when I get hot, just ask my boys!), but in fall I am the most happiest in a forest with the smell of the dew and the sounds of the birds all around me. If you suffer from depression, I highly recommend taking a walk amongst the trees, it is the best place to find a connection to yourself and Source, and can change your mood instantly.
Below are some photos I have taken of my favourite places we have visited and favourite shots of nature (all photos below are mine not off google). May they inspire you to see the magic and beauty our earth has to offer.
