So after tonight’s "BIG OOPS" with my points, I got discouraged and began to go down the old “beat yourself up path”. It got to the point where I was so down about it I didn’t feel like working out (cause in the past I would have allowed that). Instead I remembered my goal and decided to get my butt off the couch and turn this around for the good. While I didn’t feel like walking the block I knew I had to get my 20 mins in for today so I needed to get creative as walking in the spot for 20 mins was getting boring. I started walking the kitchen, but slowly that got boring too and I had 15 more mins to go! Soon I ended up walking our main floor and then decided to add in jogging up our steps and doing our upstairs hall as well. My poor dog didn’t know what to think of me running up and down the stairs and walking the kitchen and the halls. At first he stood in the Livingroom doorway looking at me like I was CRAZY (literally you should have seen his face), but than he began to join me - well for the first three sets of running up and down the steps, than he was smart and went to lay down in the Livingroom. I ended up doing 18 flights of stairs and got my daily steps in AND my 20 mins of exercise. I was SUPER pumped as I now just “burned those Subway points away” AND I was proud of myself for being able to do that for as long as I did, as four weeks ago I never could have. We just need to push ourselves outside our limits, stop allowing the excuses to take over and add a little creativity to our life to keep it interesting. Thankfully I also have AMAZING support through the WW FB groups I belong to and my private weight loss group as the ladies all brought a smile to my face for my little mix up and reminded me that I AM human and these things WILL happen and I can’t beat myself up over it – sometimes we just need to hear others say that!
Another goal I am making is to stop being so hard on myself. I want to succeed so bad this time that I am beating myself up over silly things, and this is NOT the path to success. It’s going to be a work in progress, but I WILL get there! AND TO START this new goal, I have pre bought my “Mother’s Day Gift” (well I already had one on order but since I need to practive "self love" I decided to add another) :D ! What better way to show SELF LOVE :D Can't wait for them to arrive!
Thanks to Shelley's Stonework’s for creating these for me. She is the one who also created my other two gemstone necklaces that everyone always asks about (below is her website). I wanted a cross made as a reminder to "keep my faith" in myself on this journey, in God (yes ARA if you are reading this I said it!) to help me on this journey and to help me remember that he's always watching over my boys (another reason to have two - one in honor of each of my sons!). Check out her site, she does AMAZING work! (And the gemstones have healing properties to them as well so it's win, win!).
